A rare characteristic of well-off individuals is never forgetting where you came from and having the desire to give back. This would be the case for the one they call Babacar, aka Bob Car King also known as “King of Luxury Cars”, or just Bob….a remarkable Entrepreneur in the car service and rental industry. Hailing from the Senegal, Africa, Bob grew up in a stable home but was surrounded by poverty and people less fortunate. He promised himself after he made it big, he would return to his roots and help those who need it most.
Babacar’s humble beginnings in Africa instilled in him a strong work ethic and a desire to create a better life for himself and his community. With a dream of making it big in the car industry, at the age of 21 he made the bold decision to come to America and make his fortune. His parents were very supportive and they both encouraged him. Bob and his mother traveled to New York together where he believed opportunities awaited him. In time he proved many people wrong and that he would land a prime career in the car business. His father was the one who turned him on to the love for cars at first.
“My father loved cars and had a passion for them and passed on that passion to me. His favorite car was a Benz which I in turn fell in love with. To have a Benz in my country was a sign of status. This is when the seed was planted in me to follow into a career in luxury vehicles.”
Babacar’s journey to success is a testament to his hard work, determination, and passion for cars.
Upon arriving in New York, Babacar faced numerous challenges, including language barriers and cultural differences. However, his unwavering determination and love for cars propelled him forward. He started working at a local dealership then merged into the car rental services, where he quickly gained experience and knowledge about the industry.
Prior to entering the car business, he dabbled in clothing lines and in the music industry. But the love of cars was his main goal. He eventually linked up with Manhattan Motor Cars which has a selection of high-end automobiles like the Lotus, Bugatti, Rolls Royce and Porsche. He extended his love for cars through his own company call BOBCARKING.
Babacar’s exceptional customer service skills and dedication to providing the best car services caught the attention of celebrities and high-profile clientele as 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj, Fat Joe, and Wyclef Jean just to name a few. His reputation for delivering top-notch luxury car rentals and professional chauffeur services spread like wildfire, making him a top demand among the elite.
“The most popular car my clients tend to purchase is the Rolls Royce or Lamborghini. There are two clients I do enjoy dealing with, which are 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj. My all-time favorite car to drive is the Bugatti.”
Outside of selling these luxury vehicles he has also offered them for exclusive events like 50 Cent’s IKON Weekend which was prior to the pandemic. He has also showcased them at high end car shows in New York and New Jersey with radio station Power 105fm. Bear in mind additional services through his company BOBCARKING, Babacar not only handles clients in America but has imported these luxury vehicles overseas to India, Europe, and Africa.
Despite his success, Babacar remains grounded and committed to giving back to his community, sponsoring events and mentoring young adults. He actively supports various charitable organizations, particularly those focused on education and youth empowerment in Africa. Babacar believes in using his success to make a positive impact and inspire others to pursue their dreams.
It’s an amazing feat that Bob has accomplished this much in a small amount of time. Coming to America (no pun intended) he was focused and determined to see his dreams through regardless of the obstacles. So far, as a car broker and the owner of his own Luxury Car Service with several locations, Babacar is a prominent figure in the car service and rental industry. He has recently linked up with the management consulting company, Triple SSS Entertainment who is assisting him to expand on a global scale and at the same time offer his assistance to those less fortunate be it in New York or across the globe.
