The Spring/Summer 2014 Hair Trends were all about being no fuss, elegant, and stylish for sure. Simple and smart looks were showcased which brought out the essence of the upcoming season. While you may have to wait for those clothing and accessories to hit stores, you can start to stay at par with the latest and the hottest hair trends of the season:

Jagged Irregular Bob
Models on the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2014 runway sported jagged, irregular bobs that gave them an edgy look. For the ladies that feel that natural looks don’t add spice to the outfit, go cool with these punk inspired bobs.

Braids
Braids are coming back this season with inspirations from Frida Kahlo and beachy French looks. Models on the Rebecca Minkoff, Nicole Miller, and Karen Walker Spring/Summer 2014 runway sported messy yet chic looks of braids. The messier, the more sport-surf perfect you are, or opt for a crown inspired look that frames your forehead.

Natural Wavy Hair
The look that never goes out of style is the natural wavy hairdo. Alexander Wang, Theyskens’ Theory, and Versace went for soft and glossy hair falling down on the shoulders. No need to tame those stray hair, let them fly loose and wild. Wavy hair always gives a more feminine feel and accents the your facial features.

Ponytails
Ponytails are her to stay for long. Slick and high, or low and loose, the trend continues and will inspire for long. Many Spring/Summer 2014 runways saw this look including DKNY, Helmut Lang, Derek Lam, Honor, Jason Wu, and more. Style them with flowers or a metallic band and you are all set to go.

Chunky Top Knots
Kate Spade dares to be different and that makes the label so eccentric. The models on the Kate Spade Spring/Summer 2014 rocked a chunkier variation of the top knot. The hair was piled and twisted into a messy knot on top of the head, and it will certainly be the latest look of the Big Apple ladies.
