She covers everything from hair tutorials, make-up tutorials, TV show reviews and everything in between. With well over a million video views and a personality unmatched in the YouTube vlogging world, TLSR was beyond thrilled to interview Samore and ask her some questions regarding her origins and interests.
The Lifestyle Republic: How did the idea for your YouTube Channel come to fruition and was there a specific direction you knew you wanted to go in from the start?
Samore Love: Truth be told, It came about because I was just at home and bored and wanted something fun to do. I started as a watcher of mainly hair videos. One day I turned on my laptop and did a karaoke video (it wasn’t very good) and later came back and spoke about a wig I created, and to my surprise it had a few thousand views so I just became hooked. After that I would just upload videos about hair random stuff or monologues that I either created, found online or improvised. Knowing that people were actually watching although I didn’t have many subscribers was huge to me.
Where do you get ideas for your video posts outside of series reviews?
I have a few channels just because I like to do so many different things. For the most part I go with either what’s trending or what has inspired me. I find inspirations in things that I do on a normal day to day. My main channel is special to me because I’m not stuck in one box of just doing makeup or just doing hair (not that there is anything wrong with that); I just feel me being the totally random person that I am being able to switch gears whenever I feel like it works for me and keeps me happy. People never know what to expect and I like it like that. I give you what I am feeling at the moment.
What are your favorite colors and fabrics to wear and why?
Black and blue. Black is number one because its often not thought of as a favorite because it is plain but I love it because it is so versatile. I love silk and cotton. Silk can be elegant yet comfortable and cotton is just plain comfortable.
What’s your favorite part about shopping for Spring and Summer?
It just makes me happy because I know that I don’t need to cover up my outfit with a heavy coat. I can look as fabulous as I want to without feeling like my outfit is going to waste.

Shea Butter (for skin and hair), lipstick or gloss and eyeshadow
What is your latest beauty discovery?
That’s the same Shea Butter I use for my skin makes my hair look and feel super soft and moisturized. Like 2 for the price of one.
Do you think social media has made experimenting with style and beauty looks more fun because there’s a platform for people to show it off?
Yes I most certainly do. People want to show off their styles, with outfit of the day looks or lookbooks because they know people are watching, liking and commenting which gives you a reason to do more or to turn it up a notch.
